Students from Wellsford School Room 6 have fallen in love with kauri!
Auckland Council's Biosecurity and Education for Sustainability teams worked with Wellsford school to deliver educational activities at the school in May. Students learnt about the importance of kauri and what they can do to protect kauri forests from kauri dieback disease. This was followed up with a wonderful field trip to Parry Kauri Park in June.
Check out this beautiful 'photo book' made by the class to describe this field trip - looks like lots of fun!
